This challenging project required the insertion of a 37,000 square foot addition between the existing sanctuary and education building and the standalone Christian Life Center at the rear of the property. The program for the new building was extensive, with requests for individual classrooms for each age level birth through high school, a multipurpose fellowship hall that could provide seating at tables for 300, offices for church administration, a choir rehearsal room for 100, and a recreation room for games. The new facility links the two existing buildings and includes remodeling in an area adjacent to the existing sanctuary to provide improved circulation. This area was also reworked to convert the former administration area to a new church media center. Site work added parking and two new covered drop-off features. Building elevations incorporate two shades of brick corresponding to those found on the original buildings. A pedimented gateway feature was used as a marker to identify the entries to the new building. The work was completed at a lower-than-budget-cost under $3.8 million.
