This four-phase project started with an analysis of the five buildings on the site and a master plan to suggest re-organization of numerous spaces. Phase 2 focused on remodeling the existing sanctuary (enlarged chancel, new sound system, new lighting, acoustical treatment, and new finishes. This phase also excavated an area next to the sanctuary in order to create a lower-level courtyard in order to meet code requirements for exits from children’s classrooms and reorganized the parking lot for better circulation. Phase 3 relocated church offices in order to carve out a lobby area to support the sanctuary. Phase 4 remodeled a restaurant at the edge of the site into a new free-standing Youth Center.
