Centenary United Methodist Church

This project began with a Duke Endowment-funded master plan and culminated in two phases of expansion. The first added a new fellowship hall with a capacity of 200, a new
kitchen, lobby, and restrooms. The congregation stressed the desire to blend well with the architectural style of the existing building. This was accomplished with brick selection, alignment of roofs, and placement, but differed in a much more “open” appearance embraced by the church.  The project also added a requested overflow exterior patio for church social functions, a covered drive through structure, and new parking.
The second phase of work added classroom space and cleaned up exterior circulation patterns, while maintaining the integrity of the original architecture.
